Teri Denise Burt Johnson, 51, of Crossett, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022, at her home. She was born on December 29, 1970, to her parents, Charles Reece and Ernestine Johnson Burt. She was a lifelong resident of Crossett, a 1989 graduate of Crossett High School, and a member of Jarvis Chapel Baptist Church.
In high school, Teri was a majorette and played the flute in the Crossett “Marching 100” High School Band. She loved music, especially Michael Buble’ and often played the piano for the church.
Teri also enjoyed reading, working out, cross-stitching, and watching sports, especially any team coached by Nick Saban.
After graduating high school, Teri earned a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree from UCA in Conway in 1993, and a Master of Physical Therapy in 1994. In 1995, she began her career as a Physical Therapist at the Pinewood Health and Rehab Center in Crossett, followed by several years at the Ashley County Medical Center.
Teri was a perfectionist who loved her work, her patients, and her family. For twenty years, she was faced with many health struggles. Having to relearn basic activities such as walking and talking was difficult, but with a positive attitude, extreme determination, and her unwavering faith in God, she not only overcame the struggles, but she became an inspiration to many, especially her children.
