Terry Ray Welchel, 72, of Crossett, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2024. He was born on September 12, 1952, in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area to his parents, Clarence Alexander and Charles Jimmey Hendrix Welchel.
Terry retired from Georgia Pacific Plywood Mill after thirty years of loyal service.
In his leisure time, Terry enjoyed immersing himself in stories of the past, whether through a good book, classic westerns, or his favorite programs on the History Channel. A private person by nature who found peace in the quiet moments.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Tommy, Ricky Dean, Patsy, and Charlena Welchel, Alex McConnell Welchel, Brenda Welchel Williams, and Ellen Bernice Welchel; and one step grandson, Zachary Wayne Clark Russell.
He leaves behind his wife of forty-four years, Frankie Jean Welchell; one step son, Downey Robinson (Barbie); and one step daughter, Cindy Robinson all of Crossett; along with two step grandchildren, Ryann Townley and Brooklyn Wheeler.
No services will be held.
