Thomas "Pete" Kelley Obituary

Thomas "Pete" Kelley, Jr., 51, of Crossett, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. He was born on March 21, 1974, in Lake Village, Arkansas, to Thomas Kelley, Sr. and Helen Ruth Thomas Kelley.

Thomas was a man with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He loved to cook for the people he cared about and never met a stranger he couldn’t strike up a conversation with. Thomas was outspoken, never shy to say what he thought, but he was unfailingly respectful, loyal, kind, and giving. He possessed an incredible amount of useful knowledge, was an avid reader, and enjoyed learning something new every chance he got. He also adored his dog, Hank, who was always close by and brought him constant comfort and companionship.

He leaves behind his wife, Samantha Hadwin Kelley; his children, Lynnzie Garner (Jeremy) and Sydney Kelley, both of McGehee; Noah Molton (Eva) of Texas; Jayden Kelley and Jolie Kelley, both of Dumas; Josalyn Kelley of Monticello; and Layla Haskins of Woodlawn. He is also survived by three stepchildren, Hannah Nixon of Crossett, Andrew Nixon of Conway, and William Beer of Monticello; his several beloved grandchildren; four sisters, Cheryl Bailey (Kelley), Leslie Langley, Cindy Langley, and Cricket Bolen (Bo); one brother, Cecil Kelley (Kristy); and his grandmother, Nettie Kelley of Crossett.

Thomas is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Jonie Kelley; his sister, Sherry Langley; and his grandfather, Cecil Kelley.

Thomas will be remembered for his generosity, his curiosity, his love for learning, and the deep devotion he had to his family—and for Hank, his faithful companion. His presence, personality, and wisdom will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

No services will be held at this time.
