Tommy Willard McDougald, Jr., 74, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 28, 2025, at the Willow Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center in Arcadia, Louisiana. He was born on April 26, 1951, to his parents, Tommy Willard, Sr. and Macelle McLeod McDougald.
A devoted Baptist, Tommy lived a life grounded in faith, family, and friendship. He worked diligently as a general foreman for Georgia Pacific for twenty years with a total of over forty years’ service, where his leadership and work ethic earned the respect of many.
He was a true outdoorsman who found joy in hunting and fishing and was quite skilled at tying crappie jigs. Known for his friendly and talkative nature, he was a people person in every sense--kind-hearted, easygoing, and always ready to socialize with a warm smile and a good story.
He is preceded in death by his beloved parents and his wife, Wanda Diane Atkins McDougald.
He leaves behind his son, Tommy Jason McDougald and his wife, Wendy, one granddaughter, Jaice McDougald, all of Hodge, LA; and one brother, Benny McDougald and wife, Linda, of Crossett; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family who will miss him dearly.
A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 4th, at Crossroads Cemetery in Crossett, with Bro. Brandon Gilbreath, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations be made to the Sheltered Workshop, Ashley Rd 208 in Crossett, in Tommy’s memory.
Services entrusted to Medders Funeral Home of Crossett.
