Tommy Lee Rickman, 75, of Crossett, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024, in Little Rock. He was born on April 30, 1949, to his parents, JT and Agnes Wilson Rickman, was a lifelong resident of Crossett, and a member of West Crossett Missionary Baptist Church.
Tommy was a master builder whose life was a testament to the art of carpentry, a craft he mastered with both precision and passion. His work graced countless homes and businesses, each a reflection of his meticulous eye for detail and his deep appreciation for understated beauty. Whether he was designing a custom cabinet or revitalizing an old house, Tommy’s craftsmanship reflected the warmth and care that defined his character.
Beyond his professional achievements, Tommy enjoyed lounging around the house watching his Gunsmoke reruns, fishing, hunting, and playing baseball; however, playing golf brought him the most joy in his spare time, along with cheering on his favorite team, the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Tommy was known for his generous spirit, and he had a remarkable ability to make everyone he met feel welcome and valued. Often lending a helping hand to friends and neighbors, his kindness knew no bounds, and his laughter and good humor were a constant source of joy to those fortunate enough to know him.
He was a beloved figure in both his community and especially his family and Tommy will always be remembered for his kindness, tender heart, and unshakable dedication to those around him.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Johnny Rickman; and one brother-in-law, Richard Fuller.
He leaves behind his son, Derek “Brock” Rickman, of Crossett; two sisters, Helen Naff (Roger) also of Crossett, and Connie Fuller of Hamburg; along with two grandchildren, Tyler and Bryson Meeks; one great-grandson, Maverick Meeks; and a host of nieces and nephews.
