Tonya Ann (Lee) Mashburn

Tonya Ann Lee Mashburn, 52, of Crossett, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe.  She was a lifelong resident of Crossett and a 1987 graduate of Crossett High School.  For twenty-one years, Tonya worked as a bookkeeper at First National Bank, where she often won “employee of the month” recognition awards and even “employee of the year.”

By far, the most important day for Tonya was when her son, Gabe, was born.  She adored Gabe and was an incredibly proud mom.  She especially loved watching him play football. 

Tonya was extremely outgoing and loved being outdoors.  Whenever she was not hunting, mud riding, cooking fabulous meals, or relaxing on the beach, she had a hook in the water.  Fishing was her passion.  Enjoying a nice day fishing in her pond, overseeing her ducks, was her idea of a perfect day.

Tonya loved her family immensely, and she was everyone’s best friend.  She easily made friends wherever she went and never said a negative thing about anyone.  She was selfless and very loving and would be the first to help anyone in need.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Wesley and Lucille Lee, her stepfather, Basil Doles, Jr., and one niece, Makayla Curl.

She leaves behind her loving husband of seven years, Jimmy L. Mashburn, Jr.; five children, Gabriel Jordan of Crossett, James Mashburn (Madison) of Johnsville, AR, Mathew Mashburn (Natasha) of Battle Mountain, NV, Lindsey Meeks of Crossett, and Clint Mashburn (Jeanie) also of Crossett; her parents, Gail Doles of Rayville, LA, and William Tony and Sherri Lee of Crossett; along with four siblings, Phillip Lee (Mandy), Amy Smith (Jessie), Melissa Curl (Jimmy), and Lori Sapp (Brandi Hill) all of Crossett; ten grandchildren, Calei, Heath, Jayda, Jorja, Gracie, Presley, Drake, Heidi Ruth, Hailey, and Teegan; and nieces and nephews, Bryson, Lakin, Peyton, Mackenzie, Jorga, Madison, and Brody.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 8, at Medders Funeral Home Chapel, 1564 Hwy 52 W, in Crossett, with Bro. Ron Neely and Bro. Chris Barnes, officiating, followed by interment at Carlock Cemetery under the direction of Medders Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Mason Taunton, Clint Mashburn, James Mashburn, K.W. Rial, Mike Pippen, and Bryson Lee.

Honorary pallbearers are Mathew Mashburn, Mike Bays, Kenny Clark, Scott Cameron, Brody Smith, Peyton Kyle, and Carl John Gwin.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday at Medders Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
