Yvonne Silman Obituary

Yvonne Wanda Ball Silman, 93, of Crossett, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025. She was born on May 14, 1932, in Gladewater, Texas, to Rufus and Jessie Marble Ball.

Yvonne embraced life with joy and passion, always lighting up the room with her smile and laughter. Her zest for life shone through in everything she did. A proud and talented competitor, she was an avid bowler and affectionately known as the "domino queen," even earning a trophy in a tournament hosted by the local Area Council on Aging. Her passion for games also included word searches and crossword puzzles, and she brought that same spirited energy to the dance floor—where she once took home a trophy for her lively jitterbug dancing.

Yvonne's heart was most at home surrounded by the things she cherished most: Jesus, her family, and her health. She delighted in singing gospel music, reading, sewing, gardening, and especially cooking for those she loved. Family gatherings were among her greatest joys, and her home was always filled with laughter, warmth, and good food.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Teresa Williams, and several beloved brothers and sisters.

She leaves behind her three daughters, Terri Silman Sisk of Crossett, Gay Lafaughn Silman of Conroe, Texas, and Audra Silman George (Milo) of Junction City; along with six grandchildren, Jeremy Sims, Wendy Peppel, John Williams, Stephen Pruitt, Jason Pruitt, and Landon Jones; as well as ten great-grandchildren.
